Lauren got involved with Second Chance when she moved to Plano from Louisiana. In parts of Louisiana, it is LEGAL for dogs to be chained to a stake/garage/porch/tree/dog house/etc. 24/7, 365 days/year. Sounds insane but it is true. Once she moved here where it is illegal, she knew she had to get involved. Lauren has now been volunteering with Second Chance for 5 years and still loves every minute of it!
