KENNEL TECH - Keep the shelter clean
Although we rely almost exclusively on volunteers throughout the day, we also need the help of some RELIABLE and RESPONSIBLE adults for the “off” hours to tend to our residents and prepare them for the new day. We would love to hear from you if you are available from 7:00 AM until the work is completed (usually a few hours) and preferably have had some prior kennel experience.
Candidates should be hard-working, punctual, and comfortable handling cats and dogs of all sizes. He/she will bring a positive attitude and be dependable and mature.
Candidates should also be capable of working with little supervision, must be in good physical health and at least 18 years old.
The responsibilities include:
-Thorough cleaning of dog runs and cat condos
-Morning feeding of approximately 18-22 dogs and 8-10 cats
-Cleaning office area
-Cleaning play yards
-Administering medicines
-Occasional transport to vet appointments
-Assisting with animals being picked up for vetting
